- 16 Green Room Awards nominations for the Arts Centre
- The Green Room Awards Association recently announced the nominations for the 2009 Awards for excellence on the Melbourne stage.
The Green Room Awards celebrate all forms of the theatre arts on the professional stage in Melbourne for the preceding calendar year including theatre, music theatre, cabaret, opera and dance.
- World's Longest Lunch
- One of the hottest tickets on Melbourne’s event calendar, the popular outdoor event of Melbourne’s International Wine and Food Festival, comes to the Arts Centre.
- Haiti Earthquake Fund
- Over the past three weeks the Arts Centre has worked with our presenting partners to raise funds for victims of the recent Haiti Earthquake. As audiences have left the theatres at the end of performances they have donated an amazing $19,898.10 towards assisting the victims. A fantastic result.
Funds have been directed to Plan International for immediate relief in areas such as the provision of water and food, and helping children remain safe in this time of crisis. Funds raised will also look at providing long term support for the people of Haiti.
