Booking Terms and Conditions
How to book

Choose your experience/performance/workshop.

Download and complete the relevant booking form or contact us where indicated.

Fax, email or post back following the details on the form.

We will call to discuss your booking if necessary.

We will email you a booking confirmation. Please print, check all details, amend, sign & return by the due date. All amended details and confirmed numbers are final. A signature from the School Principal is required to complete the confirmation process.
Student/Adult ratios
For theatre performances one adult for every 20 students will be admitted free, unless otherwise stated. For SoundHouse sessions, all supervising adults are admitted free.
Payment
You will be sent a tax invoice prior to your booked activity, except where otherwise stated in your booking confirmation. Payment must be made within 14 days and by the due date. Please do not pay on the day. All education activities are GST exempt, unless otherwise stated.
Teachers Resources for Performances
Teacher’s notes and resources will be emailed to you after booking confirmation stage. They are also available at www.theartscentre.com.au/teachersresources
Arrival
Performances and ArtsConnect9 experiences - please arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time at the venue specified on your booking confirmation.
SoundHouse and Incursions – please arrive and be ready 5 minutes prior to the start time unless otherwise arranged.
Cancellation and amendments
Amendments to bookings are permitted prior to signing and returning your booking confirmation.
If numbers decrease after returning the signed confirmation, you will be invoiced for the numbers confirmed (except SoundHouse).
SoundHouse sessions are invoiced according to attendance as long as numbers do not fall below minimum levels. If so, the minimum fee applies.
An increase in numbers after confirmation is subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing by the relevant Education Coordinator.
At any stage of your booking, cancellation must be received in writing.
Cancellation fees may apply. If cancelling less than four weeks prior to the performance date, the fee equals 50% of the total booking. If cancelling less than two weeks prior to the performance date, the fee equals 100% of the total booking.
Travel to the Arts Centre
By train – A short stroll from Flinders Street Station.
By tram – Take any tram along St Kilda road and get off at the Arts Centre Stop 14.
By bus – Bus parking is available opposite the Arts Centre along St Kilda Road.
By car – Parking is available in the Arts Centre Car Park via the corner of Sturt and Kavanagh Streets, Southbank.
Travel reimbursement for ArtsConnect9 Experiences
Travel costs are fully reimbursed for ArtsConnect9 experiences only – for the trip to & from Melbourne, including chartered bus, school bus or public transport (V/Line).
To claim reimbursement, post the following to the Arts Centre after your visit;
Insurance
The Victorian Arts Centre Trust has in place comprehensive emergency and safety management systems in accordance with Australian Standards. It maintains appropriate insurances through the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority.
