SOUNDHOUSE SPACES

Creative Lab SOUNDHOUSE CREATIVE LABThe SoundHouse Creative Lab is a specifically designed student space for the teaching of digital media. Classes range from one hour introductory sessions to half and full day long sessions in sound, science and multimedia.

The Creative Lab has fifteen digital workstations running the latest in music and multimedia software accommodating for up to thirty participants. Each student workspace features; a Windows platform PC, MIDI keyboard controller, microphone, mixing desk and two sets of headphones.

Training Room SOUNDHOUSE TRAINING ROOM
The SoundHouse Training Room provides training for professional educators. Throughout the year, SoundHouse offers over thirty Professional Learning courses in a music and multimedia.

The Training Room is also perfect for smaller class sizes or workshop projects that need to combine the use of individual workstations with the post production capabilities of the adjoining SoundHouse Studio. The Training Room also doubles as a live recording space.

The Training Room has eight digital workstations running the latest in music and multimedia software accommodating for up to sixteen participants. Each student workspace features; a Windows platform PC, MIDI keyboard controller, microphone, mixing desk and two sets of headphones.

Studio Suite SOUNDHOUSE STUDIOThe SoundHouse Studio is an excellent environment for students to learn about the studio recording and mixing process. The SoundHouse Studio operates industry standard Digital Audio and Video Workstations on both PC and Mac platforms. The emphasis is on student interaction and developing an understanding of the entire process, from inception to completion of a project. The studio is available on weekdays and can be used for a range of applications at very reasonable rates.

Previous activities carried out in the SoundHouse Studio include:

  • A music workshop and recording facility for community groups.
  • Creating CDs of school music performances for promoting school programs. 
  • Creating high quality soundtracks for school productions, speech nights or events. 
  • Conducting VET and VCAL projects as part of Units of Competency or Personal Development units. 
  • Recording students performances for subject based work requirements. 
  • Post production in digital sound and video. 
  • Transferring digital data into different formats for presentation or archival purposes.

The SoundHouse Studio can come to you! Hire the equipment and personnel and record at your location.
