  • About Podcasts

  • Podcasting, a portmanteau of Apple's "iPod" and "broadcasting", is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically by subscription, usually at no cost. It first became popular in late 2004, used largely for audio files.

The Arts Centre endeavours to increase accessibility to and the enjoyment of the performing arts. We aim to stimulate curiosity in and an understanding of the performing arts through a range of programs including live performances, exhibitions, workshops, tours and lectures.

Podcasts allow visitors to our site to relive moments, gain insight to or enjoy for the very first time a number of Arts Centre experiences. A selection of current podcasts are available below.

This trip down memory lane is sure to be hilarious and perhaps slightly disturbing as it captures the ‘Australian way of life’ in 1956, epitomised by the clean, nostalgic and sophisticated home decoration of Mrs Everage.
